These wooden doors were first installed on Disneyland’s City Hall while Main Street, U.S.A. was being built in 1955.
To complete the period look of City Hall, the building featured turn-of-the-century details, including these substantial paneled doors made of wood and glass. While in use at Disneyland, the doors were refinished multiple times before eventually being replaced during the 1990s. At that time, the original handles, glass, and metal trim were removed and transferred to the newer doors.
Even without those original components, this pair remains an important Disneyland artifact. For decades, they stood at the entrance to City Hall and greeted countless guests visiting the park. Each door measures 79.75 inches by 30 inches and is in good condition, showing normal wear consistent with nearly 40 years of use. The metal hardware and glass have been professionally recreated, and the doors are currently mounted in a frame for free-standing display.
